Marisa Antonopoulou brings over 15 years of experience spanning financial services, microfinance, and social impact, with a strong focus on entrepreneurship and strategic consulting. She specializes in developing strategies for impact-driven organizations, managing teams, and leading fundraising initiatives that deliver measurable social impact outcomes.
Before transitioning to microfinance, Marisa worked at PwC Greece as a Senior Associate in Assurance, where she gained valuable financial and regulatory experience.
Over the past decade, Marisa has built extensive expertise in microfinance and social impact, coupled with entrepreneurial experience and strategic consulting. Most recently, she served as Chief Operations Officer at AFI Microfinance, where she supported the organization’s growth strategy, expanded its geographic presence, and developed strategic partnerships with public authorities and grassroots organizations. Her leadership involved overseeing operational efficiency, securing funding, and reporting on social impact metrics.
As an entrepreneur and freelance consultant, Marisa advises organizations on business planning, stakeholder engagement, and scaling impact-driven entrepreneurship. She is passionate about aligning purpose-driven talent with mission-focused organizations to help them achieve both their financial and social impact goals.
Marisa holds a degree in Philosophy and Economics from the University of Bristol and is a Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA). She is committed to using her expertise to help clients navigate the evolving landscape of impact investment and entrepreneurship.
