Key Target
Become a main player in sustainable, functional, and climate-positive food innovation by scaling the production and distribution of its carbon-negative, plant-based products. Enter new markets across Europe, and pioneer a new standard in circular food systems — one that combines environmental responsibility, nutritional value, and exceptional taste.

Planet Foods is redefining indulgence through sustainability. As the first vegan food startup in Greece, the company has developed the world’s first 100% plant-based and carbon-negative ice cream, combining premium taste and texture with strong environmental and social impact. Launched in 2021, Planet Foods started with two original flavors and has since expanded to over 15 signature options, served in its flagship zero-waste store in Monastiraki, Athens.

Planet’s offering goes beyond plant-based innovation. Partnering with independent organization Ecofye, the company has accurately calculated its direct and indirect carbon emissions and offsets more than 110% of its footprint, ensuring that every scoop does good, for both the consumer and the planet.

Certified as one of Greece’s first B-Corporations, Planet Foods blends circular economy principles with clean production, sustainable sourcing, and ethical business practices. Its eco-conscious approach is present in every layer of the business, from ingredient sourcing and packaging to waste-free operations and localized production.

With the support of SPOROS, Planet Foods is now accelerating its journey, aiming to scale its impact across Greece and Europe, expand its distribution channels, and lead the way in functional, climate-positive food innovation.

Circular Economy Impact:

Planet Foods bases its business on circularity and carbon neutrality. It swaps dairy for plant-based ingredients and cuts down production waste. By keeping a supply chain that emits less pollution and focusing on the entire product lifecycle and carbon offsetting while striving for zero waste operations. This approach shows how to build a sustainable business in line with SPOROS' goal of transforming the food sector.
